The Junior Solar Sprint (JSS) is a program that challenges students to design, build and race model-sized, solar-powered vehicles. Learn strategies that veteran JSS teachers and mentors have used over the years to create winning teams. Our Hydrogen Future covers the historical aspects of hydrogen, safety, basic properties and emerging technologies. Facilitators model an inquiry-based approach to learning. Solar Cooker Workshop
This six hour workshop sponsored by Bright House Networks provides teachers with hands-on experiences and tools to implement solar cooker design projects in their own classrooms. Workshops attendance is limited to two teachers per school and each participant receives a $50 stipend. Lunch is provided. |
