Subject: Troop Court of Honor - August 26
Hi Scouts and Parents,
Our Court of Honor will be on Tuesday, August 26. All family members
are invited to celebrate the honors, awards, and merit badges our Scouts
have earned. Dinner will start at 6:00 and the ceremony begins at 7:00,
starting with election of our new Senior Patrol Leader.
Dinner will be pot luck so bring your favorite dish to share. Michael
sent out food assignments, but feel free to bring your favorite dish
even if it is not your assignment.
Patrol Leaders - since the troop meeting is canceled this week, you will
have to organize your skit before you get to the Court of Honor.
Remember from last time, your patrol will have to get up in front of the
audience and do something. If you have no skit planned, I get to pick
what you do.
At this Court of Honor, we will have a presentation from Venture Crew
497 on their recent trip the the Boundary Waters in Minnesota. I will
also have information on our trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in June of
2009. If you will be at least 14 by January 1 and you enjoy
backpacking, or even think you might, you need to hear about Philmont.
I look forward to seeing all of our Scouts' families at the Court of
Honor. This is a time to celebrate with the Scouts for all of their
hard work. Parents, please come show your support.
