Education:

M.S. Chemical Engineering
Florida Institute of Technology, FL 2004

B.S. Chemical Engineering
Florida Institute of Technology, FL 2001

Research Focus:

Mr. Smith's research has focused on the development of novel hydrogen production methods from light hydrocarbon feedstock such as natural gas and landfill gas (LFG). His current research is focused on designing, assembling and testing a LFG reforming pilot plant, including the development of a Temperature Swing Adsorption (TSA) hydrogen purification system.

Mr. Smith has also worked on the development of hydrogen production methods from natural gas with drastically reduced carbon dioxide emissions.
