Research Focus:

Raju Sen Sharma is currently an Energy Software Analyst and Principle Investigator for USDOE funded “Automated Code Compliance System” pilot project and is one of the key leads in the software capability development at the center.  He has extensive experience of the full life cycle of the software design process including requirements, definition, prototyping, interface implementation, testing, and deployment. He is familiar with national and local building energy codes and standards.

Mr. Sen Sharma has significant expertise in the development of simulation tools and web applications. He has been a key member of the EnergyGauge Summit and USA software development team, which are the code compliance software for the state of Florida’s commercial and residential buildings respectively. He has worked on developing various EnergyGauge modules including automating the creation and submission of LEED EA Credit template to the LEED-Online database saving the typical energy modeler many hours on each building submission. He also has been the project lead for the content management system used by EnergyGauge users, technical support personals, developers and quality assurance personals. He has developed complex algorithms and web applications to stop piracy of FSEC software products and to manage the billing and licensing processes. He was instrumental in getting EnergyGauge suite of products Microsoft Vista certified.

Mr. Sen Sharma has been Principle Investigator and team member of several projects funded by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Florida Department of Community Affairs (DCA), the Florida Energy Office (FEO), National Center for Energy Management and Building Technologies (NCEMBT), and Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).

He is a Microsoft Certified Professional and is a lifetime member of Upsilon Pi Epsilon, Honor Society in the Computing Sciences and The National Scholars Honor Society.
