Research Focus:

Dr. Huang's primary research interests are in areas of hydrogen production and photochemistry, thermochemical water splitting cycles, photocatalytic water splitting and hydrogen production via sub-quality natural gas and landfill gas. He is the recipient of the "Innovative Technology Award" given to only U.S. researchers by the 15th International hydrogen Energy Conference (Yokohama Japan, 2004) Scientific Committee for conceiving a new sulfur-ammonia water splitting cycle. In addition to hydrogen research, Dr. Huang has conducted extensive work in the areas of air purification, photochemistry, catalysis, water treatment, sol gel techniques, and chemical process simulation.
