A 40 gallon ICS unit will be ground mounted on the south side of the residence. The ICS unit will be plumbed to the existing 50 gallon conventional electric water heater located in the residence.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Mounting The ICS system will be ground mounted on an elevated support rack. Ground mounting will require 5 gallon bucket size concrete footers sunk into the ground for long term stability. Standard mounting bolts and mechanical apparatus will be used for securing the system to the footer mounting bolts.
Collector feed and return line piping The collector feed and return plumbing lines from the conventional water heater are to be installed behind the drywall as indicated in the site photograph (plumbrun2).
Monitoring equipment A solar system BTU meter and water heater watt hour meter will be installed at this site.
