UCF's Office of Research and Commercialization, in cooperation with the Florida Solar Energy Center, hosted a special meeting to begin a new initiative to position UCF as one of America's leading universities in energy research. By bringing together the university's resources and talents, we can move Florida and the nation toward the goal of sustainable energy independence.

With a world-renowned energy research institute and rapidly expanding university research capabilities, UCF is poised to become a national leader in the research needed to meet the challenges of today's energy and environmental problems. By working together, the academic units and research centers and institutes can bring the expertise that will propel the university into national prominence in this important and timely research arena.
