If you are a PV manufacturer, BOS component manufacturer, solar equipment distributor, or supplier who is interested in participating in the E-Shelters program, you are in the right place!

Buy American

All solar equipment purchased as part of the E-Shelters program must comply with the "Buy American" Act (41 U.S.C. §10a-c). All solar equipment vendors must comply with sections 2 through 4 of the Act of March 3, 1933, popularly known as the “Buy American Act.” It is the sense of the Congress that, to the greatest extent practicable, all equipment and products purchased with funds made available under this Agreement should be American-made.

Equipment Acquisitions

Installers that are selected to participate in this program will purchase the hardware necessary for their installations. Installers will be required to use certified modules as part of their systems. If you are a module manufacturer, who has not had their modules certified by FSEC, please visit our PV module certification page for information about this process.

Design Review

The Florida Solar Energy Center is required by Section 377.705 of the Florida Statutes to develop standards and certify all solar energy equipment manufactured or sold in Florida. To meet the requirements of the statutes, FSEC has developed a PV Module and PV System Certification program that protects the public interest and advances the use of renewable technologies.
