Stylized Text: E-Shelters For Installers.

If you are a Florida licensed electrical or solar contractor who is interested in participating in the E-Shelters program, you are in the right place!

A separate bid process, unrelated to the school selection, will determine which Florida licensed solar companies are hired to install the photovoltaic systems at each school.

Pre-bid site visits to the schools are not required and are discouraged.

Bidding

The intent to bid document is now available from UCF Purchasing.

Solar companies will submit bids to the University of Central Florida based on information and parameters detailed within bid documents. Solar companies will be asked to provide quotes by emergency management regions. FSEC will be pairing accepted bidders with selected schools.

The designated regions were determined using the Emergency Management's regions, with the addition of Region 5 being divided into East and West regions.

A contractor may bid on more than one region. There will be approximately 10-14 schools per region. Finalist schools have been selected, however final acceptance into the program is dependent on a successful visit to the school by the FSEC engineering and emergency management teams to determine site suitability. Site survey data will be provided to the selected contractors.
