Studies in Solar Energy

Studies in Solar Energy covers the history, basic concepts and technology associated with solar energy.  The curriculum units used by facilitators include Solar Matters I for K-2 grades, Solar Matters II for grades 3-5 and Solar Matters III for 6-8 grades.  Understanding Solar Energy is the curriculum unit designed for 9-12 grades.  All units are aligned with the Sunshine State Standards in Science and Math and use an inquiry approach to learning.  Workshop participants receive materials and access to hands-on equipment for use in their classrooms. Inservice credits are available.
