Travel in its various forms is a core human experience that has a truly global impact. This workshop is an introduction to travel, energy use, application of renewable energy and the environmental impact on travel. The various forms of Eco-tourism including discovery, adventure, conquest, resistance, escape, liberation, personal transformation and critical engagement will be covered. At the same time, introducing renewable energy concepts and practices, and looking at how energy is utilized in various travel scenarios and its impact of travel and the resort industry. These questions of travel open up related topics including comparative energy system design, climate change, and globalization. Attendees will gain knowledge of renewable energy learning to act in socially responsible ways to travel, both on the road and at home.

The workshop is offered at the Florida Solar Energy Center in Cocoa,
Florida, USA or
It may be at your location upon special arrangements.
There are no prerequisites or qualifications for the course. You only need to bring yourself with an open curious mind.
The registration fee is $100 per person paid at least 2 weeks before the workshop. There is a minimum attendance of 5 and a maximum of 50 persons. The workshop fee is non refundable, however your credit will be honored once.
