Florida Solar Energy Research & Education Foundation
This Florida organization provides the latest information regarding a number of active solar programs in Florida including home builder and utility initiatives.

Florida Solar Energy Industries Association
The Florida Solar Energy Industries Association (FlaSEIA), founded in 1977, is a nonprofit professional association of companies involved in the solar energy industry. Information on this site includes legislative actions related to solar energy and the FlaSEIA membership directory. This is an especially useful site for consumers interested in finding qualified solar system installers.

The United States Department of Energy home page. This site has an excellent search engine to help you find exactly what you need.

DOE Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy
This Department of Energy site has a listing of various energy initiatives, current issues in renewable energy, and a special "Ask an Energy Expert" input for those with specific questions regarding energy efficiency and renewables.

National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL)
This site provides detailed information on solar thermal technologies as well as links to related solar thermal and photovoltaic sites.

Million Solar Roofs Solar Technologies
This site provides information on the U.S. Department of Energy's Million Solar Roofs Initiative. The goal of this initiative is for businesses and communities to install solar systems on one million rooftops across the United States by 2010.

American Solar Energy Society
The American Solar Energy Society (ASES) is a national organization dedicated to advancing the use of solar energy for the benefit of U.S. citizens and the global environment. The site includes a solar energy fact base, listing of ASES publications and position papers, annual conference information, and suggested links.

Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA)
This is the web site of the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), a national trade association of solar energy manufacturers, dealers, distributors, contractors and installers. If you are in the market for a solar system, this is a good site to find out about SEIA members in your area.

Interstate Renewable Energy Council
The Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) is a non-profit organization committed to accelerating the sustainable utilization of renewable energy resources and technologies in and through state, local government, and community activities. IREC provides information on various programs, including Workshop-In-A-Box, Schools Going Solar, and the Database of State Incentives for Renewable Energy.

Center for Renewable Energy and Sustainable Technology
An in-depth and excellent site for obtaining a wealth of information on solar energy and sustainable living. Maintains a discussion group for interested parties.

Solar Rating and Certification Corporation (SRCC)
This is the site of the national solar collector and system certification organization. SRCC provides one-time certification, national recognition, product credibility, and standardized comparisons of solar energy products.

Environmental Protection Agency Global Warming Site: Actions
Renewable Energy This site details how generating electricity from renewable energy sources can result in substantial reductions in emissions of greenhouse gases and other pollutants. Of special note is an emissions calculator that calculates the emissions reduced when using solar energy systems.
