During tropical storm season the
courses may be canceled on short notice. For courses in our Cocoa facility the class will
be canceled if the University of Central Florida - Cocoa Campus
closes due to a tropical storm or hurricane. Call 407-823-5334 to
find out if the UCF-Cocoa Campus is closed. If that number is
inoperative the information will be at 321-433-7676 or 866-451-1107
(assume FSEC is closed if the Brevard Community College - Cocoa Campus
is closed). FSEC will try to reschedule any canceled courses at a
later time. No refunds or discounts will be given for participant
travel expenses that were incurred for a canceled course. Course registrants
are urged to assess the storm situation before traveling to Cocoa.

This workshop will focus on Bio-diesel Production and
Use in Florida as a transportation fuel. You will learn
about feedstock and production of bio-diesel, quality standards,
vehicle use and success stories on the fuels use in Florida.

This course provides training in the use of an energy analysis
tool — EnergyGauge Summit FlaCom. while normally considered
a code-compliance software, it also has "hidden" capabilities
which can be used to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of
building and system options. Lab session will use the software
to evaluate the energy savings potential of various design
options. It is highly recommended that you bring your own
laptop computer.
