Alexander Mack holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering; have over eighteen years of experience in Electrical Utility Regulation/Energy Conservation and Efficiency, and over eight years of experience in hardware development for light attack aircraft. Current duties include serving as the Administrator of the State Energy Program within the Executive Office of the Governor Florida Energy and Climate Commission which includes the planning, development, and implementation of energy management programs within the State of Florida; monitoring state and federal legislation, preparing analyses of proposed programs and legislation and providing recommendations for policy options and positions. Serve as the Emergency Coordinating Officer for Emergency Support Function #12 (Fuels) for the State Emergency Operations Center. Serve as liaison with other state agencies, U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Energy Assurance, institutional administrators and energy coordinators regarding institutional efficiency programs. Has served as the Governor’s alternate to the Southern States Energy Board for the late Governor Chiles, Governor Bush and Governor Crist. Serves as the public sector co-chair of the Florida Chapter of the Energy Services Coalition. Serves as the vice-chair of the Florida Solar Energy Center’s Policy Advisory Board. Serves as a member of the United States Department of Energy’s State Energy Advisory Board.
